Thumbnail Thursday Day 2 - Topaz Stars

Thumbnail Thursday, Day 2

Topaz Star Cluster with Uranium bearing Chalcedony

Today’s Thumbnail Thursday specimen is a fantastic star cluster of Uranium bearing Chalcedony coated Topaz I acquired from my friend, Shaun Rasmussen, owner of SK Star Claims. There’s no question that some of the most interesting Topaz specimens currently being mined in the US are being pulled from this claim. I am lucky to have acquired a couple of these recently.

A thumbnail sized specimen is generally regarded as one that's between 25mm and 35mm and can fit inside a standard sized, 1.25" Perky box. I sell a variety of Perky Boxes and supplies at my website, perkyboxes.com. I sell a variety of perky box products here at perkyboxes.com. I also sell filtered UV flashlights here.
